Volkswagen has got it wrong.

Have you seen the recent Volkswagen commercials? The ones with a random pair of people standing near some random road and one of the two people says a random color and then punches the other person?

I know that Volkswagen is trying to be clever and all capitalizing on the game of "Slug Bug", but they've got it all wrong.

Just because the "Bug" is a Volkswagen, it doesn't mean that all of their cars warrant violence on your neighbor. That's just not fun. A. It takes too much effort to learn all of the possible models of Volkswagens that might be travelling in your vicinity; and B. It's much more fun to spot a car that has a history of character appeal.

So, the "Beat your neighbor Any-Volkswagen-model" game just doesn't work. It should go back to just "Bugs."

But, there are other cars that have a distinct profile and character appeal on the road today. So, we have determined that a single game isn't enough. My family has created another. And, two has proven to be enough.

This new version of the classic game involves the Chrysler PT Cruiser. Much like the "Slug Bug" game of yore, it has two simple rules:

1. When you see a PT Cruiser, say the name of the car with its color. For example, "PT Blue" or "Blue PT"

2. Hit someone nearby two times. After all, "PT" stands for "Punch Twice."

The only other game we play while driving is for the Toyota Prius. Nothing special here, other than when you see one, just say "Prius." Nothing else. No color. No punching. Just "Prius." Why? Because it's fun to say.
