The Great NFL Conspiracy

I am posting this for the record prior to the games on the weekend of December 17-18.

If the New England Patriots lose to the Denver Broncos it is concrete proof of a conspiracy within the NFL to put their new poster boy and revenue generator into the playoffs.

It is very suspicious after watching one player, Tim Tebow, get ALL the credit for winning several games in a row in dramatic fourth quarter comebacks. And, watching the last game versus the Chicago Bears.

True, the Bears don't have a quarterback and their primary runningback is out so their offense isn't producing. But, the Chicago Defense has always been strong with tendencies toward the spectacular.

However, during the fourth quarter when the Bears were up 10-0, the defense backed off the receivers and gave HUGE cushions. Tebow cannot throw into coverage, but even I could make a play and throw the ball to a WR with a 10-20 yard void around them. He can hit the isolated man, but not one smothered by a tight defense.

Marion Barber has been given a bad rap for his "mistakes", but slipping out of bounds and having the ball stripped from you during a run happen all the time. Conveniently, these events gave the Denver Tebows the opportunity to score, tie, then win the game.

If Tom Brady and the Patriots offense lose to the Tebows, I suggest people watch the way the defense backs off in ALL of the games played since Tebow-mania began. Things don't add up. Except maybe the extra revenue generated by the hype-machine.
